When to engage
Signs this work package could help.
You do not need a finished scope. If one of these sounds familiar, it is a reasonable time to talk.
- Staff re-enter the same information into more than one system.
- A manual or spreadsheet-based process needs a focused application.
- Two systems need to exchange information and no one owns the integration.
- A new tool is ready to build, but testing, training, and handoff have not been planned.
Deliverables
What we can deliver.
Each engagement is scoped with your team. These are typical deliverables; the final list, responsibilities, and acceptance criteria are agreed in writing before work begins.
Requirements and workflow map
A description of the current process, the people involved, and the changes the application or integration should make.
Application builds
Focused applications or enhancements delivered in increments your team can review.
System integrations
Connections between existing systems so information moves without being re-entered by hand.
Test plans and results
Test cases tied to requirements, with results recorded for acceptance.
Training and user documentation
Guides and sessions for the people who will use and support the tool.
Deployment and handoff support
Release planning, operating notes, and knowledge transfer appropriate to the contracted scope.
How we work as your subcontractor
Your program. Our defined scope.
We define a focused scope around the work your team needs to do, then deliver in reviewable increments.
We follow the hosting, security, and change-management requirements set by your program and client.
Testing, training, and handoff are planned as part of the work package, not added at the end.
Questions
Frequently asked questions.
- Can you work with the systems our client already has?
- Yes. Much of this work is connecting or improving existing systems. We review the systems involved and the access that is available before agreeing on scope.
- Do you build large systems from scratch?
- We focus on defined applications, integrations, and workflow improvements that fit within a clear work package. We will tell you if a request is outside what we can responsibly deliver.
- How do we review progress?
- We deliver in increments and agree on review points with your team, so you can see working results and adjust direction.
- What do we receive at handoff?
- The deliverables agreed in the work package, which typically include documentation, test results, and knowledge-transfer sessions for the people who will maintain the tool.
